Hall Monitors/Class Moms or Dads

Volunteer moms or dads from the Parish community sit in the hallway during class time to provide assistance to any Catechist, any student, and to ensure safety for all. These volunteers work on a rotating schedule. Their duties include: making phone calls, collecting attendance folders, stepping into a classroom if the Catechist is called out, substituting in a class for a Catechist who cannot make the class, monitoring a student who leaves the classroom and monitoring the use of the elevator. In addition the hall monitor/class mom or dad will contact the Director when first aid is needed or in an emergency. These volunteers also help during class parties by supplying items and serving the children, and they assist in church during confession.
